Hyundai Motorsport announced its preparations for Rally Estonia, scheduled for July 17-20, marking the eighth round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The team, coming off a victory at the Acropolis Rally, aims to build on its momentum with a strong performance on Estonia’s high-speed gravel roads. The lineup includes Ott Tänak, the local hero who won the rally in its debut WRC year of 2020, alongside Thierry Neuville and Esapekka Lappi, both of whom contributed to a double-podium finish in the event’s most recent outing. Tänak’s past success includes a win with co-driver Martin Järveoja, supported by Craig Breen’s second-place finish that year, while Neuville and Lappi secured second and third respectively in the latest visit. The team has logged over 300 competitive laps this season, with Tänak’s recent Acropolis win highlighting his form, achieved with a 32.8-second margin despite gearbox issues. Rally Estonia features some of the fastest stages in the championship, with plans for extensive testing to optimize the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 cars. The event will see 41 crews compete, including Hyundai’s three-car entry, as the season reaches its midpoint, with Toyota leading the manufacturers’ championship by 65 points.
